RECREATIONAL PILOT LICENCE (RPL)
If you would like to fly for recreation, this lisence lets you fly a light, single-engine aircraft as the pilot in command, without supervision.
PRIVATE PILOT LICENCE (PPL)
Throughout the training for the Private Pilot Licence, you'll acquire expertise in navigation and enhance your piloting skills.
COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE (CPL)
Upon obtaining a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), individuals aiming for a career as a pilot will progress to attaining a Commercial Pilot Licence.
AIR TRANSPORT PILOT LICENCE (ATPL)
An Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) is required to act as pilot in command of a large multi crew air transport operations level of aircraft.
Instrument Rating
(IREX)
The IREX is the theory component of the Command Instrument Rating, a necessary exam for the grant of a SEIR or MEIR.

Andrew Baumanis
B App Sc, Grad Dip Ed, ATPL
Andrew has been navigating the skies since 1969, and believe it or not, he got his pilot's license before being old enough to get a driver's license. His first passengers had to play chauffeur, driving him to the airport so he could take them on a flying adventure.
Andrew has piloted all sorts of aircraft, wrapping up his professional flying career in 2015 after spending many years flying turboprops with a regional charter operator at Perth Airport (YPPH), Western Australia
His passion took a turn to the classroom, mentoring aviators through their Private Pilot license to ATPL, with a particular focus on IREX. This was a natural career change as for a decade, he operated his own pilot training school at Jandakot Airport. The transition to academia was a welcome challenge where he spent fourteen years as a senior lecturer at an Australian University.
His expertise was further recognized in a three-year role on the CASA Flight Crew Training Advisory Panel in Canberra. Alongside, Andrew has authored comprehensive aviation theory textbooks, enriching the next generation of budding aviators.
